SPEAKING AT UNIVERSITY OF UTAH: The Thing About Resilience

Mitchell’s Journey made some new friends today. I also saw some old ones and became acquainted with someone that knew and worked with Mitch at summer camps.

I was grateful to share a few thoughts about Resilience. As I looked at the audience's faces, I could see stories in their eyes - stories of pain, hope, exhaustion, gratitude, worry about the future, and universally I saw deep goodness. I was humbled to spend time with them.

I'm grateful to Dr. Butterfield and his staff for the invitation to participate in their conference.

Today my heart is a little heavy, yet full.

Ryan Berube and his lovely wife Amanda. I loved meeting them and am grateful to call them friends.

Dr. Jeff Bigelow, a dear friend, fellow PPMD colleague, and most importantly, the father of Henri.

This good woman worked with little Mitch at DMD summer camps when he was young. It was such a great surprise to meet her and listen to her reflections of my son. What a gift to my heart.
