Coping With Anticipatory Grief Is Complicated

The first thing you need to understand is your anticipatory grief is real. It is often made more complicated by those that don't understand or show proper empathy for what is about to happen in your life. You are not alone in feeling the anguish of isolation and the anticipation of your worst nightmare. This section is aimed at helping you find healthy ways of coping with and managing your grief.

I am no psychologist, but I will provide links here to articles I think may be helpful to you. But I am a father who has walked this path before and found my way out of the darkness. To that end, I hope that some of the insights that I shared below will help you as you grieve over the dashed hopes for your child's future and for bracing for the ultimate grief of loss that will surely come.
