Speaking at ThermoFisher Scientific

Last week I was honored to speak with ThermoFisher Scientific, a company that plays a vital role in manufacturing solutions for the gene therapy pipeline. They asked me to share #mitchellsjourney with their staff to help their employees connect their work with the impact they can have in the lives of patients and families.

While touring their facilities, I was impressed by their organizational standards of excellence, along with their genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with DMD.

Although I gained a deeper appreciation for the incredible science behind gene therapy and what it takes to get a product to market, I gained an even deeper appreciation for the good people behind the business: each sincere and working tirelessly to help.

My cup was broken when I lost my son but it overflows with gratitude when I have a chance to help others connect the human dots and help others see and feel what happens on the other side of medicine.
