Miles for Mitchell 2017

Mitchell's older brother, Ethan, wanted to do something to honor his life. So last night I gave him a drive with footage from our Miles for Mitchell run last year. This is what he made, all by himself.

I love this event for so many reasons. Firstly, it is a way for other DMD families to connect and feel the love and support of our local global community. Secondly, so many youth watch and learn from adults. When they see this kind of community support they begin to follow that example. Perhaps, most of all, it is an event that brings people together from all walks of life and reminds us what it means to be human and love our neighbors.

This year we are going to help a young boy, Kaden, with a wheelchair ramp and help with a wheelchair accessible vehicle. We're also helping another young boy named Caden, with modifications to their bathroom so his parents can more easily help him bathe. The struggle is real for these families and we hope to help these and many more with your help.

Consider joining us this Saturday, April 22, in Salt Lake City. If you live out of state or overseas, you can run where you are. We'll ship shirts and run medals to you.
